Your thoughts on Fonseca mate please?

Personally I know jack about him expect he's doing pretty well with Shakhtar which means we will end up with loads of random but boss Brazilians.

As you can imagine i'm all for him.

He failed at Porto which was the bit I followed a bit more closely, but they were going through turmoil at the time, having sold their best players the season before and failing to replace them properly. Sounds familiar... He got them going at first but things went pear shaped and he couldn't turn them around. The football was pleasing to watch, but his tactics a bit Martinezque.

That said, even though I haven't followed his career closely since, especially since he went to Shaktar, he's done well to adapt and rebuild his reputation in Portugal following Porto, and seems to be doing a great job in Ukraine. I'd rate Marco Silva as the better manager out of the 2 to be honest, but I'd still be far more excited about the potential of his appointment compared to big Sam.

Fonsceca doesn't speak English does he?Can't believe this is still dragging on.

He speaks it fluently.

It might be wise at this stage to accept the media know nothing about what's going on and the Everton situation...maybe that's why they've all been throwing their toys out of the pram about us.
While your thoughts certainly could be spot on Dave. Unfortunately it could also be that reporters HAVE been told numerous names through valid contacts and since nothing has come to fruition they have unloaded on the club because it actually is that bad behind the scenes. I hope it is the former, but in this case I fear it’s the latter.

Yesterday I was borderline suicidal at the prospect of Allardyce... now I'm daring to dream it was a load of media nonsense and we actually have something far more attractive up our sleeve. Dave has filled me with HOPE... which is a dangerous thing where Everton Football Club is concerned.

Interestingly, the Echo now seem to be of the opinion it is indeed Fat Sam having used pushed Fonsceca earlier today.
I'd still keep the rope on standby though mate
