Do we want a glamorous foreign coach for the 'project' or a British premiership ready manager to fire-fight and avoid relegation. I suppose the only candidate that ticks both boxes is Silva.

It might be wise at this stage to accept the media know nothing about what's going on and the Everton situation...maybe that's why they've all been throwing their toys out of the pram about us.
 

The Echo seems to have been pushing the Fonseca story whilst the national media have been obsessed with Big Sam. I wonder if, for once, the local press got wind of something earlier

Very good point. Would it be beyond the realms of possibility that we’re talking to both a manager and DOF at the same time, with Walsh moving to a head scout role? Even Allerdyce with a younger manager? Just a thought.
 

Yesterday I was borderline suicidal at the prospect of Allardyce... now I'm daring to dream it was a load of media nonsense and we actually have something far more attractive up our sleeve. Dave has filled me with HOPE... which is a dangerous thing where Everton Football Club is concerned.

Interestingly, the Echo now seem to be of the opinion it is indeed Fat Sam having used pushed Fonsceca earlier today.

just been onto the echo website. at the top, it's got their icons, Liverpool FC, Whats On, Weather etc. and under 'More', you click and Everton Fc appears
