Because as discussed, he's 68 years old, on his last legs at Arsenal and with absolutely nothing left to prove. What could he possibly gain from managing a mediocre Premier League club for 2 years?

When he's done at Arsenal, he's going to walk away from the game - whether that be this summer or next.

Would you be arsed managing a rebuild at us after everything he's done at Arsenal, would ya heck.

He’s one of 3 or 4 of Pep’s assistant managers/head coaches mate. It would be exactly the same role here that people are speculating about. Nobody in their right mind would switch from City to Everton in the same role.

No substance to this theory anyway, it’ll never happen!

I think Arteta May follow the Viera route and manage one of the clubs in City’s franchise , so the powers at City see how he gets on

Because he’s a pensioner who can’t get a team with Aubameyang/Ozil/lacezette to function, his time has gone sadly! He was once a great manager, not anymore though.

Is he better than what we’ve had or got? Absolutely
Is he the man to turn this club around? No

3 FA cups in 5 years would say different. We’ve won 5 in our entire history. He’s set up teams that have outplayed Pep’s Barca in their prime (at home). He’s clearly still capable of ridiculously high levels of performance but the consistency and recruitment haven’t matched it.

He’d be our best manager since HK1 without question.

Exactly. We are not a draw for top managers, let alone ones that have their flip flops readied and the keys to their retirement home on the Algarve waiting for them.

That’s subjective opinion and doesn’t answer the question I asked

Not what he said last year when his new contract was up in the air, but don’t let facts get in the way.
