Whoever gets it has a huge job on their hands. Only 13 players in this squad really have a future here and thats giving 4 or 5 the benefit of the doubt.

I would take Benitez over Moyes or Allardyce, and that's saying something. Sean Dyche would steady the ship but we'd be mid-table at best for his entire tenure. Ancelotti is used to managing world-class teams with bottomless money pits. Excellent manager but a poor fit. Unsworth is unproven and inexperienced but maybe would be interesting to have him step up to the first team in some role when the permanent manager is in place. Coleman would be a massive risk.

In a fantasy world, Tuschel. In the real world, David Wagner for me would be an exciting appointment.
