The big worry I have with this squad is that there isn't anybody who is going to get a tune out of it.

Let's not pretend that Koeman sat idly by and made the same mistakes every week. In truth he tried lots of things. The formation changed countless times (sometimes within the same game), he brought Kenny in, Klassan and Sandro were in and out, Williams was dropped, Davies started games..
All the ideas people had, he tried it. Yes, he even dropped Rooney and guess what, we were still crap.

The only thing I wanted to see more of was Davies playing with two wingers. Well Unsworth tried that and we saw what happened.

This is a deeply unbalanced squad with no top level forward, ageing defenders and its suffering from a chronic lack of confidence.

Turning it around is going to be one hell of a difficult job.

True its unbalanced and full of holes but we still could be getting more out of this squad.

Odds on across the board now with the bookies.

Welcome to Everton football club Sean.

Catterick, Kendall, Dyche.

One of those Kopite banners with the heads of their best managers silhouetted would be nice with that on it

It amazes me that people still fall for the odds things, especially with sky/sky bet. Watch everyone lump on Dyche now as Sky (who also own Sky Bet funny enough) have released a story to say that Everton will approach Dyche in the next 24 hours. Not saying we aren't interested in him but sky don't have a clue, they just release a story like this, shorten his odds and watch the money come in.

I doubt it'll be Dyche. I think that's a ruse and we're courting Mancini or Tuchel quietly in the background....

....aren't we?

i'm trying to remember what the chatter was pre-koeman, i'm pretty sure he was a bit of a surprise...although mainly cos we were expecting mourinho :D

I think he's a firm iron in the fire and no more than that, hence the odds. A fallback position if the real target falls through...hopefully!

The market for our next manager will be miniscule in betting terms, I don't buy the conspiracy.

This reeks of Jim White....

Sky own 20% of Skybet. Betting market on new manager will be at most 10k in bets i reckon.

Sky are going to put out fake stories for the sake of a few grand???? A multi billion pound company will do that??

Does not make sense.

Why the feeling we need a scrapper to get us out of this?

Get Big Sam or Sean Dyche in. They know the league etc.

Sam has a 32% winning record in his last 2 PL jobs (both regarded well) in his rescue jobs at Sunderland and Crystal Palace.

Dyche has a 25% winning record in his time in the PL.

Marco Silva came in with no PL experience and won 36% of his games at Hull.
