Might as well stick with the theme...and eff it, he's got a blue bow tie.

When, not if, but when he's gone, the stories will start to filter out and I think he will have fell out with twice the number of players Martinez ever did.
He's set the Club so far back it's not real AND spunked 140M. he'll have to go before he spends some more in Jan...as somebody said, I wouldn't let him spend the tea lady's biscuit money.
Three packets of digestives when we really need chocolate.

The reports out of Munich about ancelloti are pretty crazy, sounds like he stopped giving a toss altogether.

He’s never come here anyway but still...

...be it an Unsworth type or an Ancelloti type, almost any appointment carries risk. Personally, I prefer somebody who has a hunger/desire to do the job, somebody with a clear vision of what they want to achieve on the pitch, somebody with a proven record of building a squad with a collective spirit (a happy camp) and a team who are organised defensively and carry a threat going forward.

I suggest the board will be better listing a set of competencies and then seeing who best fits them.

In view of recent appointments, this worries me somewhat.

...you see, I wonder what set of competencies Koeman fits, so I don't think his appointment dovetailed with a set of criteria. Somebody with a desire to succeed doesn't say he's only here for the short-term, somebody who builds a collective squad doesn't have a history of falling out with individuals.

Did Lukaku know it was going to turn out like this? Im now wondering if he had Sussed out Koeman and had a word with Barkley to, this is all surmising. I really liked Lukaku as a player but not as a person he didn't seem to respect Everton one bit, there was talk for months (I know it was just talk) about a deal 99% done why wasn't it signed? I'm wondering now if the reason was Koeman lack of management skills, which we are seeing now. Koeman was knocking Barkley all the time last season he may not have been on top of his game but he was playing a sight better than most of Koeman buys are this season. Koeman probably seemed like a good idea to the board, but they picked the wrong man from day one and all these months on there's so much damage done, even all his signings most very good players at their previous clubs look finished and they have only been here a few weeks. The man is bad new for this club, he needs to go so this mess can start to be sorted out.

...SkyBet have a 'next Everton manager' market;

Ancelotti 6-1
Unsworth 8-1
Howe 10-1
Enrique 12-1
Duncan Ferguson 14-1
Benitez 14-1
Karanka 18-1
David Wagner 18-1
Dyche 18-1
Chris Coleman 20-1
Frank de Boer 20-1
Martin O'Neil 20-1
Sam Allardyce 20-1
Thomas Tuchel 20-1
Brendan Rodgers 22-1
Marco Silva 22-1
Moyes 25-1
Van Gaal 25-1
Patrick Viera 28-1
Mancini 28-1
Villas-Boas 33-1
Pelligrini 33-1
Tony Pulis 33-1
Joachim Loew 40-1

Koeman fits short termism for me, a 'steady the ship on the pitch' type of guy, while we progress the stadium project. Leaving a great package for a more ambitious/high profile manager to take it forward. Unfortunately, he appears to be doing the opposite.

Moshiri went short term in selecting Koeman because he himself is here short term. Build stadium and sell. It's clear now that he has no on field ambitions so I'm not sure there's any point fans getting behind him. If he doesn't care why should we.

..I think that's an unfounded point. I don't see the stadium build as short-term and surely if he wanted to sell he'd prefer to sell a successful team as well as a sound infrastructure.

The money in the PL is enormous wherever we finish. All he needs is a PL club. He's not one bit concerned.

Unsworth till the end of the season then silva in the summer when his Watford contract is up would do me

I would normally say Ancellotti as he's superb manager when he has a superb squad to work with. I'm not sure if he could get these players to sing a tune for him or if he would have the desire to take on such a project.

That leaves me with the following options, Unsworth who I think at worst would get us mid table and playing some respectable football or Silva who you mention I think has come across as professional and seems to be getting the best out of average players. Past that point I'd have Tuchel on my list.

They would be my 3 choices so why not give Unsworth a chsnce to either a) steady the ship or b ) make a name for himself and take an opportunity with both hands
