My dad out of the blue rang me and asked what I thought about Sam as manager. I thought he had heard or seen something on the news. No he was just worried.

If my dad is worried, then something is awry as he isn't an internet based panic merchant.

We can only put up with a no frills manager if we see real progress on the stadium and not just Twitter teasing from the architect. Although I still think it’s on, purely due to the money to be made from it.

To be honest, I had hoped it would be Unsworth as manager when we make our debut at Bramley Moore. May well still happen but now isn’t his time.

Why did or do want UNSY as manager so badly?
Cos he’s a blue?
Cos he was a god awful player?
Cos he won an u23 title?

You make it sound like I’m gagging for him.

Who he supports is irrelevant but it is important that he gets us.

His playing career is irrelevant.

Because he won an underage title? No but I have faith that he constructed a very talented team who played good football. That title, while welcome, was again irrelevant. It’s about developing players and finding the right system and he has shown that he can do that. As an interim manager he is perfect.

Long term, not so sure but he has deserved this opportunity.

What does get us mean?
Instead of shipping in perennial ex players who were ‘all losers’....ship them all out and bring in winners.
We are no different to any other team....nobody needs to get us

We're a few points off mid-table. It is very early to be writing off the possibility that we can start our journey back under a new long term manager.

The season is over from a competitive success angle; it need not be over in terms of making the right choice to see us roaring back next season under a manager who has a vision and a method and a long term commitment to us.

I wouldn't have a problem with any of that mate, yet i think my point on availability of the right choice is a limiting factor, i would rather go for a Moyes or Allardyce firefighter or rather proven they can balance and plug holes in teams and review in the summer for a Silva then a Dyche on a 5 year contract now.

Thing is mate ( my take btw ) some managers won't want to come to just the end of season and then if they did we are recruiting again. I would rather moshiri get in who he wants now.

Orly two mirrors at it againlol

How about this for two faced Joe

"This club needs a winning manager" "I understand the fans inside out ": both Unsy

Rewards them for taking days off work and spending loads by surrendering the game lol

I would rather have someone manage us who actually cares about the club. Someone who respects our history and invests in youth to ensure the local Scouse blood line flows through our first 11.

This club is more than just a paragraph on a CV.

No reason at all why a manager can’t deliver success and respect history.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this but it’s my first post.

Surely the question is - do we have ambition or not ?

If we do then we must have a manager of stature. No star player is going to sign for us if Joe Bloggs is our manager, however good Joe is.

And if we want to get such a manager then the board has got to show its ambition (money).

Sentiment shouldn’t come into it - this is business.

Unsworth is far too lightweight.
Alerdyce and the like are an admission of failure.

I have no idea who the best person might be.
