Thats why a short term appointment of fat sam isnt going to work as what is the point of him bringing in a forward the next fella wont want.
He said he would be interest in speaking to us. He did say that previously things can and do change In football mate
You just don't get it mate. It's not a long term OR short term answer it gives us more problems hiring him it's a massive no and hopefully it won't happen
I'll take 3 managers in 12 months as long as it stabilises the club. We could go for a long term foreign manager but what if that doesn't come off? Juande Ramos almost relegated Spurs once, people forget that.
3 managers in 12 months? We are about to have 3 managers in 12 weeks mate and Ramos has been mentioned in this thread loads of times. There is risk with every appointment but at least go for an appointment that all the fanbase can get behind and buy into
You'll never find that, people are always going to have their doubts regardless. We just need to get behind whoever is appointed even if it's Big Sam. The team are already bottlers last thing we need is a hostile Goodison, otherwise we'll be down by March.
If it's to be Allardyce then for the purpose of longer term planning it should only be until next May and it should also be with Unsworth as Assistant Manager. Unsworth needs the experience and he'd learn a lot from Allardyce, if only about defensive organisation.
Not even for £3m......he must be a very rich man.Allardyce won't take a half-season deal mate, and that's the issue.

Why pay him that?
See this is the problem, we're panicking after 10 games. There's ages to go. The season we finished fourth, I think we got 19 points after the 19 game mark. We won't get to that level but equally, it's not the doom that people are suggesting.
Appointing that crook essentially tells people 'we're panicking, we'll pay panic money in January for players he wants, and forget any decent football for the rest of the season'.
People go on on about the Bolton to Europe 'achievement' but he hadn't been appointed as a relegation 'fixer', so he was allowed to experiment with bringing in older players from abroad; he could do so because he massively loaded the contracts. This all happened over a decade ago. It happened in 2004-2005 in a league so weak, you could finish 4th with 61 points.
Anyone know who managed it that season?
