If there was ever a time when Allardyce would be first choice as manager, that would be the point when the club would be finished.

But Dyche has already demonstrated his ability to get the best out of Keane. And surely he could bring more organisation to the existing back four.

Under Dyche, Burnley are gradually evolving from their defensive displays to a more expansive style.
