Almost don't want to hire a manager...enjoying this hiatus, dreaming about all these top managers interested in joining us....I don't want to wake up through fear that reality may be in the form of Mark Hughes sitting in the park end holding aloft a royal blue and white scarf.
That's it, we're currently enjoying a Schrödinger's manager experiment. Until the new manager is revealed, Mourinho is simultaneously our next manager and not our next manager.

I'd love him to come, especially after schooling Klopp and giving us all a great night! Anyone can pick up a language if you're immersed in it in 2 months, he'd be fluent by January.

BUT, he's just taken his club to the next level, I can't see him moving to a non-Champions League club now.

That's where he was last season. A UCL club, that didn't stop non-UCL people trying to hire him. Maybe the setup will attract him. If we don't try, we're going to remain as unambitious as we were for the past 20 years.

This is important. I find it amazing people are saying this is not important as they won the Europa cup. Ok they beat Liverpool, that's nice but we need to think about our future. Just because they won this cup three times in a row does not mean he should be considered as our next manager.

Not disputing that, but how can you measure 1 season's away form compared to his overall management? He did well away in the previous 2 seasons. Only constant is that he keeps Sevilla within touching distance of UCL and a penchant for winning the Europa.

Huge knee jerk but we need this guy emery...I knew nothing about him but what I now know I like...and would it finally mean we are getting banega? I was destroyed when that fell through.
If Emery comes I think Banega would come with him. He followed him from Valencia. He turned Banega's career and life around, he was out drinking, not turning up for training. He's a changed person and player since Emery has managed him. By the way Koeman couldn't do it when he was managing Banega (I mean sorting him out)

Yeah if you read through those tweets he makes it clear that Emery has hit the ceiling at Sevilla, he wants to come to England, he wants to talk to Everton and he's heard it from a good source. Given his record this is surely a no brainer.
Very nervous about what it would mean for Deulofeu but winning the Europa league three times on the bounce is certainly impressive and a manager who could outsmart Klopp attractive.

Deulofeu would be a small price to pay. If Deulofeu doesn't turn his career around, he's never going to be even half of what his hype.

I understand that because I like Deulofeu but I can't say he's impressed me with his lack of fitness and work rate this season. At the end of the day a winning team is more important than any individual.

jose or emery would be unbelievable. koeman, pellegrini, favre would be good as well. I'm a bit skeptical of de boer as I think his amazing playing career is factoring a bit to heavily in the assesment of his managerial abilities
