Love how everyone wants Emery because of a decent half of football, automatically asuming he has a plan B, Martinez wasnt so quickly praised for his plan B in the second half of semis against united.
Er yeah but Emery's plan B was a cracker - and it worked!

Not really sure about Emery. Great in Europe, but really average in his domestic league - his Sevilla just had a season without an away win in his league. I was impressed today though.

We lacked intelligent under Martinez but that Sevilla Team jautbjpknew what they were doing where our players didn't have a clue

Was thinking exactly the same thing when I was watching it - very good game management and lets be honest the football in that second half was excellent!

Martinez never had a "Plan A" never mind a "Plan B". He had "His way" - which didn't work out too well I seem to remember.

Honestly that is just rubbish, Emery's first two teams he managed both promoted, both to highest league position they've had, negative net spend at Valencia of -£63 million, finished 6,3,3,3. Sevilla negative net spend -£83 million, finished 5,5&7. I think one season he had 18 players coming in and one season 11 players coming in. He's constantly selling his best players and bringing young players in. If you think that's really average then I think you need to adjust your point of view!

You assume I am sticking up for Martinez? No glad hes sacked awful manager, but I was just making a point.

Whats to say the Sevilla players never done the exact same tonight then? Maybe they ignored Emery and took it upon themselves.
You couldn't make this up - did you not hear the interview with one of their players after the match saying how the manager changed it round with his half time team talk??

But well if his team wins EL, why he has no away wins in the league at all? Only 1 away win in EL too.
