Koeman is perfect

If we want to get back to the very top I see it taking place in two stages.

First is to get us top 6 again, throw lots of cash about and make progress on stadium. We also need to raise our profile and cement some youngsters in the team .
Koeman fits the bill perfectly for this. What we don't know is with additional levels of funding that he will get here is whether he can then take us higher.

Second is to then take that next step and aim for top four/title. To do that we need to be attractive to managers who are capable and proven of doing this.

Let's face it many managers who are proven aren't going to look as favourably on the role with the current profile of the team and club as it is at moment.

We need steady progress to then position ourselves in the market place of getting a Jose to then take us to the top.

Previous restrictions seem to now be removed which makes all this a more realistic proposal.

We had the best chance if Utd did not want him because Mourinho stated he wanted to stay in the Prem.

Koeman was always my first choice prior to Mourinho being an option, if you look around the Prem he stands out above all others outside the top 5.

Fanastic 2nd half of the season, only 2nd to Leicester points wise, beat all the top 5 at some point this season, regarded by Soton fans as being better than Poch.

Proven in the Prem, he ticks all boxes for us, it's easy to see why he'd be top of the realistic list.
And the fume from the saints fans, can't forget that.

Frank de Boer please if no Jose :-(

Koeman is boring and we know what he does, pellegrini the saame :-( At least De Boer will be something new in the Premiership ! Always taking the safe boring choices for the past 20 years has only damaged us so take the risk for once!

most of your prognostications to date have been spot on mate. I certainly do not readily dismiss your considered (and proffered) opinion. What did you think of my stuffing recipe?
I thought it was inambiguous.

I also thought you could have made a soup with the chicken bones, adding pearl barley along the way

Reach for the stars

Jose noooooooo!

Not that it makes a difference but I think it's absolutely classless not even letting Van Gaal celebrate winning a trophy. Why couldn't it wait until tomorrow?

And leaving Rooney having to stand in front of the cameras and answer questions on why LvG is no longer in a job despite winning the Cup. Appalling way to handle this.

You mention Koeman's teams playing boring football (Which they most certainly do not) yet you want de Boer?! Whom Ajax fans were glad to see the back of for that exact reason?

They know how good he is, they've seen Poch and seen Koeman, and rate Koeman as the best, nothing against Soton, we'd be pissed in their shoes, but it's wallet eats wallet and ours is considerably larger than theirs now, and Koeman knows it.
