Everton are due to hold talks this week with Unai Emery with the Sevilla coach a leading contender
to replace Roberto Martinez as manager at Goodison Park.
Emery led Sevilla to a third successive Europa League title on Wednesday when the Spanish club beat Everton's fierce Merseyside rivals, Liverpool, 3-1 in Switzerland.

Sevilla are also due to
face Barcelona in the final of the Copa del Rey tonight and Emery's impressive achievements have won considerable admiration among the Everton hierarchy as they search for a new manager to take the club forward after a bitterly disappointing season under Martinez.
Everton are expecting to meet with Emery in the next 72 hours. It is unclear if the Spaniard is the club's first choice but they are keen to establish his interest in moving to England and any plans he has.
Ronald Koeman, the Southampton manager, and Frank De Boer, who is a free agent after leaving Ajax this month, have also been heavily linked with the job. The outgoing Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is available, too.

Ronald De Boer has already spoken of his brother's desire to join Everton.
Emery has a reputation for being an intense workaholic but he is popular among his players and West Ham United were interested in appointing him before Slaven Bilic succeeded Sam Allardyce in east London.
He has spoken in the past of being interested in working in the Premier League and can converse in English.
Everton finished the season in 11th, 19 points adrift of fourth place, and were beaten in the League Cup semi-final by Manchester City and FA Cup semi-final by Manchester United.
The Merseyside club won just two of their final 11 league games under Martinez and face a battle to keep defender John Stones, midfielder Ross Barkley and striker Romelu Lukaku this summer.
