Couldn't really choose between Koeman and De Boer and said from the start I'd be happy with either.

If Koeman is dragging his heels give it to De Boer at least the fella is keen and wants the job.

Ronald Koeman
Koeman arrived at Southampton in 2014 to replace Mauricio Pochettino after he took the Tottenham job.

And the Dutchman guided the Saints to a seventh place finish in the Premier League in his first season in English football.
The Saints then went one better and ended sixth this year and with Roberto Martinez having been sacked by Everton, Koeman was mooted as one of the potential replacements.

Frank de Boer and Unai Emery have also been linked with the job as well but Koeman’s Premier League successes were said to have him ahead of the field.

But reports emerged last week that the 53-year-old in fact had his eye on a slightly larger prize.

With Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal contract set to expire next summer, Koeman was said to be hoping he could take over from the Frenchman at the Gunners.

However, the Mirror claim he is now on the verge of signing a new deal on the south coast.

The report also claims Koeman will see his annual wage increase from £2million to £2.5m in a contract which will keep him at Southampton until 2018.

He wants to wait for the Arsenal job but his head has been turned back by an extra 0.5 million a year - to fend off reciprocated 'Arsenal interest'...

...but this is despite us presumably having more money to offer him, if that's his vice?

My Crock-o'-shine senses are tingling.
