Agreed. I'd like to move from "managerial vacancy angst" right into "If we've got all this money, why haven't we signed 10 players yet?" and then straight to to "These 10 players we've signed are CRAP."

I Have't really considered him too much and it probably won't be him but...

If you're looking purely at the CV's, Pellegrini's is the most impressive. Did amazingly well at Villarreal and Malaga, bit unfortunate at Real finishing 3 points off Guardiola's Barca. Won the league at City, was hung out to dry last season but still got them further in the CL than anyone else.

He probably has a lot of contacts in the South American and Spain too.

If we were offered him straight out of Malaga or even after last season there'd have been cartwheels.

He doesn't give you that worm fuzzy feeling though and he probably sleeps in a wooden box.

Pelligrini won absolutely nothing at Villarreal or Malaga - that doesn't constitute as 'amazingly well' in my eyes mate

Really surprised Roberto Mancini isn't being pursued....not even mentioned. I think he'd be perfect for this project and he's got the character to take on the likes of Guardiola, Mourhino, Wenger and Plopp.
