To be honest if Emery falls through my optimism for the next season will take a bit of a dip. After all the optimism about attracting a big name we've had two managers and top targets turn us down already. Sure José was a potshot, but Koeman?
Hopefully we can get Emery because though I like Pellegrini for example, I don't see any statement-making contenders left.
