Bit surprised about Mancini in the frame. Bit of a so-so season at Inter. Does anyone know if there are rumblings of him wanting to leave or being sacked there?
Not sure how I would feel about him as manager would be a bit of a mercenary feel to him coming here. Can't see him as having the passion to see us improve and compete that Emery would.
No harm talking to a guy with his experience in the game though.

Some bad news found on wikipedia, 'Under Mancini, Manchester City progressed to the 2013 FA Cup Final, but were defeated by Wigan Athletic 1–0.' Mancini < Martinez.
Seriously Mancini's record is outstanding and he's a cup specialist so he'd be great because we're not going to win the league.

I think the most important thing needs to be getting a manager who has enough pulling power for top players to sign. That considered, Mancini, Pellegrini and Emery surely have to be our top targets. I think the issue with De Boer and Koeman (with his delusions that he's the next Guardiola or Mourinho) would struggle to attract the kind of player we desperately need

Mancini or Emery is a great dilemma isn't it! One of those or De Boer and you can't complain. I doubt it'd be De Boer or Pelligrini given how long it has taken...

I don't think I ever said there wasn't. I was just sharing the meetings that are happening today in Milan.

I wouldn't get too excited about the name you are referring to...there is no chance with that one. He's not leaving Atletico.

Oh jeez, I agree mate. File that under not a hope in hell! He has his pick of every top job in Europe if he wants it, more chance of me managing Everton than him next season.
