I really feel that getting Koeman would be a real disappointment, I want Emery, I think he's the best choice. I've never wanted Koeman, even from the start. My choice was undecided, Jose then undecided then Emery and has been ever since

Emery still in the box seat as he has been made an offer by the club. Should be getting a response from him later today.

This news (and size of the offer!) seems to have stirred RK and his agent contacted Moshiri yesterday afternoon.
If accurate it means that the original first choice candidate, who was proving so hard to get, is now the fall back option if current first choice says no. Fantastic. It always looked like Koeman's agent was angling for a desperate final huge wage offer from us but it seems he didn't anticipate a serious alternative to his client emerging.

There's a little bit of me (about 3%) that'd really like to get Koeman just to shut up all the Muppet Southampton fans who reckon they're now a bigger club than us.

The rest of me would be massively underwhelmed as I've got my heart set on Unai and Monchi

Yes, would be fantastic to shove signing RK down the throats of the Southampton fans and those that put us down in the media.

But, Emery and Monchi as a team offer us the potential to do something amazing here. I don't want to miss the boat.

Would or could you be a little more specific, please?

Thank you.
What a difference 10 days make...

We were having to sell the 'project' hard to desired managers and now they are having to sell themselves to us.

How refreshing.

Clearly the powers-that-be have done an outstanding job.

Should be pretty much finalised this week and there should be a very clear indication who that will be by the end of the day.

Anyone thought along the lines Koemans not interested but we've leaked he is to try and force Emerys hand.

This is all based on the basis any of this stuff we're hearing is true.

I'm still not sure anyone truley knows what's going on.
Very devious, I like it!

The earliest we'll know anything will be Monday, probably Tuesday.

Koeman & his advisors are in for more talks this weekend.

I still believe RK is the number one target.

Just got in to work, and writing this post solely so I can see how long it takes me to catch up to my own post from where I left off last night :D Roll on dinner time!

....I appreciate some are not interested but the early markets are forming and we have a new favourite - Koeman has replaced Emery with the bookies.

100% this
Never realised Southampton fans were so stupid and delusional so kind of want to stick it down there throats but would prefer Emery in reality
