I still think this is an exciting time to be an Everton fan.....New rich owner, new stadium finally going to happen, cash to spend on players, dead wood out of the club and a new manager to bring the good time back....

I can only see the next few years being like a brilliant roller coaster ride with more up's than downs.

Bring on a new manager and a new Everton FC :-)

He can come up and talk to us all he wants, If we have made an offer to Emery its upto him to turn it down. In that case we have a backup which isn't a bad one like megson, mclaren, etc.

Judging from the reports its a pretty tasty offer, so be interesting to see if he did turn us down.

Any more news on the Monch-meister.... if he is still on route to England we need to get the RAF out searching for downed flights

"Ronald Koeman is to SIGN as a trainer of Everton. With agent Rob Jansen en route to Liverpool.

Nah

It's a massive decision for him - one he is going to feel massively more confident about if Monchi comes in as DoF. His time in Russia was a mixed experience and this would be another trip abroad. I'd want him to be absolutely certain.

That being said, Spaniards in a football context have tended to enjoy Merseyside in the last few years, so hopefully he'll settle in well.

Koeman has shown himself to be a bit mercenary by the looks of things, which isn't a disaster for us per se but he may well have wee'd on his chips

Not sure how much some of us have enjoyed said Spaniards on Merseyside in a footballing context
