I understand using Koeman as leverage in the meantime, but he has wasted a lot of our time seemingly and top target or not, I would not be inclined to spend time massaging his ego any further.

Koeman should be begging to take the job, not stringing us along in the media for weeks. Emery seems a far more savvy chap, he'll know which side his bread is buttered.

It's interesting though, Saints fans aren't too happy as you can imagine with losing their best players seemingly every summer, so if they lose their manager again, they'll be kicking up a right fuss to their owner.
