If it turns out we are a stepping stone for him, and he does move onto the likes of Arsenal or even Barcelona, then that suggests he'd have done quite well with us. This would mean we'd be in a good position to get another good manager once he's left - most likely a better position than we're in now. I don't mind this scenario at all.

But I'd still prefer Emery.
