Just a quick question, did Emery turn down our initial bid or our only bid?
Do we not negotiate in these contract negotiations?
Everton: Here is the contract we have spent 2 weeks putting together. We hope you find it satisfactory
Emery: No
Everton: Okay tara! thanks for lookin.........who's next
It would explain why it has taken so long
According to the Esk earlier, Emery has not given us an answer yet, there's a bit of life left in it yet if you believe Esk that is.

Mole said Emery turned us down and a dutch journo that looks like a penis says Koeman is meeting Everton today.

Edit, sake I hate technology.

"Farhad Moshiri is promising a significant transfer budget and is willing to double the wages of Koeman." - Sky.
Koeman's agent leaked that the Saints were offering 2.5 million and EFC would have to offer 6. Seems like 5 million per year is on the table for Koeman. No wonder he's talking.

Nothing new there really from Sky that wasn't known to Koeman two weeks ago.

I admit that is amazing, just concerned he is a knock out tournament guy rather than a league manager? Let me quantify this by saying I know little to nothing about modern football managers and am just wanting to know more. At the moment I'm more drawn to Koeman as he has experience in this league and I think he is a decent tactician.

Emery finished 5th, 3rd, 3rd in La Liga with Valencia
Finished 5th, 5th, 7th with Sevilla.

Not too bad and I believe last season Sevilla had a lot of injuries but can't back that up

4 hours or more since Mole said Emery had turned us down, if that were definitely the case I would have though ESK would have confirmed by now.

Either way, today does seem to be a defining day in the search for a new manager.

I voted for Emery and he has been my no. 1 pick from the start.

However, I think it is clear Moshiri had Koeman initially as first choice. I think a lot of the contacts and information Moshiri has will be Arsenal and London based and that seemed to lean to Koeman.
