The timings suggest a change of heart from Emery and an unwillingness to take the job or Everton at least getting bad vibes from him. Everton are meant to have spoken to Emery and his representatives a full week ago, then gave him the long weekend to think about it and also let the dust from the Champs Lge final to settle. Gets to yesterday and still no commitment to the job or perhaps an outright refusal. Everton look to Plan B, which is go back to their original choice and so double check with Koeman that he is still not interested in our job. And lo, he suddenly is.
