Yeh but that wasn't down to VVD. Fonte had a bad spell of injuries. Van Dijk's had a fine season.

For what it's worth, though, I don't think we'll be after too many of their players. From a players' pov, it really would be a sideways step at the moment, if there are larger offers on the table from clubs in Europe.

Would definitely try for Mane and Forster, mind. Though Forster has just signed that deal and I doubt they'll be too willing to do business with us.
