Plays 4-2-3-1, 4-4-2 and 3-5-2 - unlike Martinez, he'll change the formation to suit his players and his opponent.

No he doesn't he says on that MNF vid his preference is 4-2-3-1 (if right players available) he switched to 3-5-2/5-3-2 when they went on that horrendous winter run. I'd love it if that was his preferred formation it's grand.

Yeh but that wasn't down to VVD. Fonte had a bad spell of injuries. Van Dijk's had a fine season.

Not watched enough of their games to dispute that, was just pointing out that they were good defensively before they signed VVD. I did see plenty of VVD up here in the SPL. He was head and shoulders above anyone else in the league but he was far from the finished article.

Forster and Mane would be my choices too, but suspect you are right about them not being keen on doing business.

I'm warming to Koeman now on second thoughts but at the same time he signed that Cuco Martina and aside from his absolute worldy I heard even the Twente fans saying he's one of the worst players ever.
