Not sure where the caller got that from (did not hear the call) but Moshiri has the first option to acquire the rest of BK's shares (as well as Woods and Abercromby)

Dein has been sounded out re possible Chairmanship

i caught the end of the call and heard the caller saying about dein buying bk's shares. he was called paul and i did think it could of been you! murray and groves laughed it off about dein, saying the caller was getting ahead of himself. i was really hoping it was you dropping a bombshell on unsespecting biffs!

So @The Esk, just to clarify, Koeman has definitely agreed personal terms, signed his contract, and all that's needed is a compensation fee before it's announced, correct?

very surprised that we moved forward with koeman, he had already been offered a decent wage verbally last time with promise to funds, and he changed his agent and was very close to agreeing a new deal so something big must have happened in the last week for him to change his mind.

Either way i'm not over the moon about the appointment at all, but i understand he will be steady and do a okay job for us.

Worry is he will fail similar to how he did at valencia.

Could definitely see it progressing this way early next year. By the end of the season (at the latest), I'd expect Moshiri to have acquired (majority) control?

Dein could well be then brought on board as the footballing man to take over the chairman's role, and BK take a back-seat. (Not to get into a discussion that's meant for another thread, as I know some won't be happy with this, but for all the wrongs he's done I do believe he's equally done rights - I'd have no issue with him staying on in some token capacity).

Different leagues. Different eras. Different expectations. Plus, a manager who has learnt a lot in 8 years...

Is it just me or are the changes that are happening
The manner in which business is being conducted
And the general upwards movement in the way things are projected make you feel excited and thrilled at the final end to the "plucky little Everton" tag
This wonderful football club is back where it belongs NSNO

My only worry regards Koeman is that he doesn't have a good reputation for promoting youth prospects

Ideally, the new manager would be looking to make good use of the young players we have in the squad

Aside from that, he seems a solid choice

This isn't directed just at you Mikey, but I really don't get the obsession with youth?

If they're good enough, they'll be given a chance.

Koeman did do this at Southampton.

Every club and set of fans are desperate to believe all of their young stars are going to be world-beaters, but it doesn't always work out.

Ward-Prowse, Targett and Reed have been the stand-outs in Koeman's tenure at Sotton - and he's given all of them first-team roles. Ward-Prowse was pretty much a guaranteed starter until the final part of the season when he tired slightly.

He'll encourage youth, but his main strength will be getting the best out of Barks, Del and hopefully Stones if he is still here.
