@FriendlySaint ...football and its tribalism attracts both clear and rational thinker... and rabid imbecilic zealot .
I count you amongst the former.
Quality posts, all day, on a what can be (sadly), antagonistic forum....kudos mate.
We beat Arsenal 4-0, one result doesn't define a season. The 6-1 was poor, but we had Steven Caulker in defence, and they just thoroughly outplayed us, which happens. Koeman took a team that over performed the season before, lost his best centre back (Toby) and his best midfielder (Schniederlin), spent less on there replacements, and then took us a place higher in the league.
Edit: Forgot to add losing Clyne as well, one of the best right backs in the league. Who we replaced with Cedric and Cuco Martina.
lol lol lol .......... That's the spirit.Get a grip and tear into him.
Palace twice, liverpool and Sheff Utd.
Also Midjaatatatatatland knocked them out the europa league play off.
Christ sake.
Yeah fairly swift end for him.
Yes, is qualifying for European football, ever a bad thing? We're Southampton, we got promoted 4 years ago, we're not the biggest team in the league, but we consistently outperform what we're expected to do, we have had 7 years of improvement in league position, which is pretty remarkable. Is 6th considered good for your team mate?
I mean considering you got smashed in both cups the last 2 years.
koeman announcement will be next week i think cant see it on Saturday
If it helps mate I've got a good feeling about it.
So it evens out at bang average.
Nah, that was Poch, still fuming at that.A couple of years back, was it Koeman who put out the weakened team, for no obvious reason, in the FA Cup tie away at Sunderland?
