Love that post and those stats are really quite telling, highest win percentage, highest points gained per game average, more goals scored per game and least goals conceded per game...
I had a few pangs of disappointment on Thursday when it became apparent it wasn't going to be Emery, but bang up for Koeman now.
Anyone know how those stats hold up against Emery's la Liga record?
I know Emery's cup stats would be way better however.

Well considering Emery didn't win a single away game last season i'd say Koeman's pretty good.

True but I think it's fair to call that a blip as in previous seasons and also with Valencia he didn't have that issue

What type of defender was Koeman?

I'd describe him as classy but no nonesense.
Good on the ball, similar to Stones but knew when to use row z if he needed too.
He had a free kick on him like a rocket, seriously, I would not like to have been in the wall facing one of his free kicks.

His trademark was his power. His cannons were immense.

As long as its not a 2-2 draw on the opening day. That would certainly be a bad omen for things to come under Koeman.
