Yep...you're right of course...I completely ballooned the point I was trying to make by not making it at all...which never really helps does it....I meant in relation to holding onto the players mentioned...can't see him making ANY difference to that, if they want off, they want off....and I wouldn't want them there unless they were committed anyway. The MONCH ain't gonna change that I don't think...

Lukaku will go, if anybody bids 65m, hes off, nobody will stop that and nor should they, 65m is a good price, im not saying it will be easy to replace him, nor am I suggesting that we spend the 65m FM style, but hes peed me rar off running his mouth like a weapon, I know Mirallas has done the same, but you can "feel" for Mirallas in a way, he hardly plays and when he does he often scores or does something special, Lukaku was played every single minute and he runs his mouth like a tool, hes dead to me.

I can understand why he wants away and if he just said "Look, 11th is not where I see myself, once was bad, but twice is a joke mert", but instead hes off running his mouth like hes fing Pele.

I have to disagree on youth mate. He would have been far better on youth than Emery was. We'll only see when he comes in but I suspect young players will be involved. The truth is, having sold some of their best young players Southampton's are a little way off our young players currently. Targett has played under him.
Aye had similar worries with Emery re youth (particularly after the way he handled my fav Deulofeu ;)) and Koeman seems much better than Mourinho for instance.

Just have to wait and see if, when he's settled at the club has the team playing the way he wants, Koeman shows interest in the academy and has a coherent plan of getting them gametime to develop either here or elsewhere.,

Zat, im pretty sure you have linked us or wanted us to sign 90% of the players in the world, at some point we will agree on players.

Koeman has failed in 5 of the 9 clubs hes managed, lets hope it remains 5 out of 10.
Or succeeded in two of the last two. (which since they're the two most recent, and one of them is in the same league - you'd have to say are comfortably the two most relevant)

Well I wouldnt say his feyenoord record was anything special, sure he got them some damn good league finishes, but his cup record and his record in europe was quite shocking IMO.

The thing with his gob is I can't see it being THAT appealing to other managers of the bigger clubs, yeah, it's ace the self-confidence thing but there comes a time when it backfires (a la ROBERTO & the philosophy etc) and you just start to look a bit of a tit. And I feel that's where it could go with him...touts himself often as a worldy, yet switches off - as he did last 8 or so weeks - when it's not going as he feels he thinks it should...

Certain managers will see rarrr through that. It's all very well him saying how boss he is....but he needs to prove it.

Chances are he'll have a boss tournament now he's something to prove and something to gain by doing so.

But what if he has a stinker and there's no takers....he's gonna look an arse.

And he's gonna have to pull his finger out.

He's a tit but I'd take him for another season and let him play for his 'dreamy' if it's gonna get us 20+ goals.

And if that happens then OUMAR's fiddly wrist may be even better by the end of the 2016-17 season. And he'll score a hatrick. On his 46th birthday...

What????

Ive read all the decent Saint fans posts, the 1s who arent bitter, they all say good things, they all say we have got a good manager, peoples obsession with youth amazes me, if the kids are good enough, they play, if not, they dont, its really that simple.

What you mean agreed with you on Besic? and Janssen..............

I like Koeman cos ive done the research Zat, I still want Cocu, but its not gonna happen, no point spending the next 3 years crying about it, Koemans gonna be our manager, he walks through the door with a clean slate for me, I will judge him on everything he does as Everton manager.
i wanted de boer but koeman is good, as you say blank slate.

Guy on my team at work is a big Saints fan, goes to see a lot of the U21 and youth games. He reckons the main reason Koeman hasn't brought through too many youth players is just that there's a bit of a lack of quality in there at the moment, compared to a few years back.
