Im in blighty and I do not subscribe to sky sports, I do partake on occasion but generally from the mob of dro variety ...hope Africa is hot for you but don't rush back to normality.....it's dull and buffering ere
It's too hot for me, I'm in Ghana and it's the rainy season right now so that cools it down a bit but still hot.
We get DSTV here, good for football as they have every prem game on, so even if Everton aren't playing I can pick any game I want.
I miss little things like filling the kettle from the tap, not having to put mosquito spray on when going out, not having to look at dates on food when I go shopping, having the shelves in ASDA full, smooth roads instead of pot holes like the craters on the moon, there's loads more but it will sound like I'm moaning.
The poverty is cruel and I thank my lucky stars that I was lucky enough to be born in the UK, even if it was Everton where I grew up lol

Oh and I miss my wife and kids too

I think Koeman is as good as we could have hoped for at this time, give him 3 years and we will be in a much better position.
I think you are right with this, he will do a great rebuilding job and then we can really attract the Joses and Simeones down the line. It is similar to the Hughes appointment at City when they became newly brewstered.

So we're gonna finish 10th after a net spend of over £110 million and get knocked out in our first games in both cups? Then we sack him next season when we are floundering after another massive net spend?

Hughes was a utter failure at City...

All of talk of Emery being more exciting than Koeman strikes me as the sheep factor.
That first half against the RS they should have been dead and buried and I've watched many of their league games which have been very dull. I feel Koeman is no more exciting or underwhelming than Emery.
Both credible managers who could succeed for us but if we have chosen Koeman then I for one am more than happy I'm with that call.
We will never know who would have been the best choice but what we do know is that he was Moshiri's first choice. The man had a clear preferred manager and made sure to get him no matter what his club said. I'd imagine billionaires are used to getting what they want and that's why I'm confident he will deliver the Waterfront stadium for us. We are starting to see already why the Esk has been so positive about this guy and I'm joining him.

No, not my point at all. While I rate Koeman highly, I do see him as an upper mid level manager who has been brought in to prepare the way for a top tier boss in 5 years time. With us feasibly kicking off in a new stadium in 5 years, sustained years of squad improvement behind us, increased commercial revenues and probably new investors on board, then we can go for Jose and very likely land him. Hughes was in that similar transitional time at City, he was just the stepping stone on the way to greater things.

Reading the saints forum they are claiming Koeman doesn't want to go but was in fact caught out in a game of bluff by his agent and now has to come to us whether he wants to or not as bridges have been burnt. No idea how true that is but might explain why he's suddenly run away on holiday for the second time in 2 weeks???
