Reading the saints forum they are claiming Koeman doesn't want to go but was in fact caught out in a game of bluff by his agent and now has to come to us whether he wants to or not as bridges have been burnt. No idea how true that is but might explain why he's suddenly run away on holiday for the second time in 2 weeks???
Haha that sounds like the biggest load of BS

He's agreed terms with us, the rest of the work to be done has nothing to do with him. But yes, keep trying to find controversy. It must be there somewhere.

Good lord, if that's the case he must be a total idiot!
Doubt that very much

I assume that Koeman has agreed to the appointment of Monchi, if we can persuade him to come?

I won't be convinced that Koeman is coming until I see him holding up the new shirt, but surely he's been asked about a DoF?
Overmars would be p
So we're gonna finish 10th after a net spend of over £110 million and get knocked out in our first games in both cups? Then we sack him next season when we are floundering after another massive net spend?

Hughes was a utter failure at City...
Hughes and Moyes both proved that they are good managing/buying players on small budgets.......... put them in with the big boys and their egos and they flop.

...mate, why would that make a difference? I'm not being flippant nor picky...but why?

It's a bigger vision and bigger perspective, with a DOF, especially witha pedigree such as his, the manager can change without too much upset to the structure. So, would show longer term stability and longer term plan.

This at the moment, basically no man's land, because there is no confirmation, but everybody seemingly accepting it's Koeman, just leaves me underwhelmed, I don't see it as the 'statement of intent' some think it is and most expected. Certainly not an 'Everton are back' sort of moment anyway.

That is the biggest load of rubbish ever.

Probably : here's the post which someone else said was true:

"Koeman doesn't really want to go.....but he is now being forced.
Bridges are burnt.
His agent has played a game and bluff has been called.
There's loads to this.
Beside the money.
Koeman should've never shown interest in Everton...well it was the agent actually.....tits up spring to mind.

He will toe the line.

He will toe the line meaning I presume he will be unveiled as the manager tomorrow

You would think Southampton fans would be used to the merry-go-round more than any others.

Unless you're a free agent, every manager/coach/player joins you from some other team for Gods sake.

You take from others and in turn yours are taken. That's how any market works.

There are arguably only 2 or 3 clubs in global football who are immune from poaching, be it coaches or players.

They were quick to forget Nigel Atkins when he was binned in favour of Pochettino.

Silly, childish nonsense.

He should never have changed agents

Nice big bonus from Farhad Moshiri for Agent Janssen. I love the way he works. Next project Lionel Messi.

They're really having trouble processing all of this, they laughed at the very thought of us getting him and now they're desperately searching for answers, no matter how bizarre.
