The compensation will only be guessed at by the media. It will suit Southampton's agenda to spin it being as high as possible.

I believe Esk in that this was all sorted yesterday and that the 24-48 hour interval since is just due to it being the weekend and will keep up appearances for Southampton to their fans.

Heard some sources say it could be anything like the middle of the week before its official, suppose it helps both clubs, it allows Southampton to try and get a manager in and maybe Everton get a DoF.

We will probably be at home for the first 2 games, the vermin have requested a 2 game away start to help finish their new stand.
