Don't know how true it is but the delay is something to do with the compensation for Southampton, a clause that we don't poach any of their star players, apologies if this has come out already, I have been in a cave all day

So we have to pay them a whopping 5M and we can't go in for any of their players? That's too much.

Then again, plenty of other players to go after but I would have thought Koeman would fancy one or two that he was impressed by when he was there.

It's Southampton. Not here for an argument. Shame for our clubs to fall out. I always liked Everton and one of my best mates is an Everton fan. The slightly odd thing in all of this is that neither club or RK himself as uttered a squeak yet. All the coverage is being generated by the media, fans and agents. Have to say though that this is becoming water off a duck's back for us Saints fans. The last 8 years haven't been dull but despite everything we have improved every season. Goes to show that stability is not necessarily the way forwards. If you get RK you can only improve under him but he does have a habit of making some rather bizarre selection choices at times. Good luck boys with whatever happens.

It's football and it happens. It's happened to us it will happen to you. It may work it may not. Time will tell.

the talk about not signing any of their players doesnt make sense. say liverpool have a bid of £20m accepted for mane, would southampton really not let us make an offer of £21m if we wanted him?

I suspect that the clause would allow us to come in if they accepted a bid from elsewhere,l but not for us to initiate one. A bit like we did when Moyes went to Man U .... oh wait ...
