Sky sources understand United's executive chairman Ed Woodward is still mulling over whether Van Gaal will see out the remaining 12 months of his three-year contract.

Mourinho's future has been in limbo in recent weeks with different reports suggesting he is bound for United, while others say he's set for PSG.

Express Sport understands the Portuguese will be unveiled by the Red Devils in the next two weeks, signing a deal to replace Louis van Gaal in the summer.

And French newspaper L'Equipe have since consolidated this, claiming the former Chelsea boss will not be moving to Paris.

The publication contains a full review of all Ligue 1 managers today, in which it's claimed Mourinho will not be replacing Lauren Blanc.

It is said the 53-year-old has signed an 'agreement in principle' with United and is moving to Old Trafford next season.

Mourinho has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea in December following a dismal run of results for the Premier League champions.

The Blues gained just 11 points in their first 12 games of the season and went on to lose nine times under the Portuguese before he was shown the door.

Sky Sports News HQ understands no agreement has been reached between Manchester United and Jose Mourinho over the manager's job at Old Trafford.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss is reportedly keen on the post should United look to replace Louis van Gaal in the summer.

Speculation continues to surround Van Gaal's future despite the Dutchman leading United to their first FA Cup final for nine years and with them still in contention for place in next season's Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain head coach Laurent Blanc is another linked with the post but Tottenham's Mauricio Pochettino is out of the running after agreeing a new five-year deal with the Londoners.

After appointing two managers in the three years since Sir Alex Ferguson's departure, Sky sources understand United's executive chairman Ed Woodward is still mulling over whether Van Gaal will see out the remaining 12 months of his three-year contract.

Not sure how I feel about Low or even if it's true.

But I much prefer the Jose rumour and Sky have just said nothing's agreed with United, so here's to Jose
