The problem with the Mourinho shouts isn't so much that he wouldn't want to manage here, the big problem is wages - we simply can't afford to pay a manager £10-15m a year, even with Moshiri's money.

As much as I'd love him here, I just can't see us being able to afford him.

We spent 17m to purchase Aiden McGeady.

We can afford Joses wages.

As much as I'd love him here, I just can't see us being able to afford him.
We could easily afford it with the added riches to premier league clubs via to the new TV deals kicking in next season. However I think his agent might be using us as a bargaining tool to get Utd to offer him the job.

We'd make up his wages in increased revenue due to his mere presence. Then you've got the increased funds due to higher league position and the inevitable Champions League run the season after that.
