We have more chance of getting Mo.
Emery is future Real/Barca calibre manager

I disagree. Those positions are toxic. Name a top club that has had their manager for more than 5 years. Emery does not seem like a hire/fire type to me. That makes it either Arsenal or a broken team with potential to win (Everton/Inter/Milan). If we lose him to Arsenal, then we can move to plan B and make Wenger our DoF.

Still, I prefer Emery as our manager and Wenger as our DoF.

I've seen it all now.

Without wanting to offend any of the middle aged here, I have a theory. It's largely based on listening to my old man the past few days, but it seems to me that a lot of the 45/50+ bracket have a real small time mentality.

My dad would literally take any manager. He thinks we need ''an old head to pull us away from the drop''. He lived through the 80's too. I'm utterly baffled lol

Why are some so keen to appoint an utter no mark?
Im starting to think we need someone to steady the ship a bit. Let the players know who is boss. A stickler for fitness levels. Tried and tested tactically. Is honest in the media part of a managers role.

Im thinking Moyes is not a bad choice

So basically a football manager then?

Moyes not even in the frame imo. By quite some distance.
Martinez failed on every one of those points chief

Why not have those things and a winner. If Moyes is the answer you're asking the wrong question.

It's not unambitious, nor being a know it all to say that getting Arsene Wenger in as DOF and Emery in as manager is absolutely farkin mental, is it?

Just because you don't believe in something mean you should ridicule it. You don't believe it, sure. If we don't explore, we never know anything. I'm more for exploring different ambitious options. Something we haven't really tried since...the 80s?

If we're going for the hipster choice, I'd love to hear the argument against Howe.

He is on the up. Getting Bournemouth into the Prem was an amazing feat. Keeping them there playing the style of football they did and with the crippling injuries they had is impressive.

I can't understand why he's not in the mix.

An Everton supporter to boot. What's not to love?
