If Moyes can be put on there,so should Markie, and Pullis along with Barry Fry,only fair like.

Fry no, Moyes no, Hughes no, but Pulis probably deserves a chance at a club that doesn't require him to churn out the same formula every week just to get to a point where they are comfortably going to stay in the league by February, or March at the worst.

I don't think for a million years that he would ever be our manager, but I don't think he would be a disaster if he was appointed. Even just sorting the defence out would be another 15-20 points a season.

:hayee:

Marcelo Bielsa ? He is still in the betting albeit at 25/1 ... Just wondered if anyone knew anything about him ... The bits I've read online suggest well he is a bit mad to put it lightly .. Is he a contender if the top 3 don't come

Barking mad and he would probably make Martinez shine by comparison. Loads of managers praise him but that is probably because they take as many lessons away from him about what not to do, as what to do.

I've thought that before, never gonna be our manager, but didn't his team play good football at palace?

Lad.

Go for a walk.

"Good" is arguable, but he got them playing in a way that made the most use of their talents. I am not saying we should appoint him, but his record has rather more successes (Gillingham, Plymouth, Stoke, Palace, even WBA) than failures; he is certainly a better manager than Hughes is.

Good old Wiki:

A fanatic of football videos that he adds to his collection, Bielsa, on occasion, checks pitch measurements by pacing them out before deciding on a particular formation. He allocates separate training times for different parts of his squad. Former Argentine national team captain Roberto Ayala, a defender under Bielsa, stated "Sometimes we wouldn't see any of the strikers, because he'd have them training at a different time, and it was the same with the midfielders."

He is known for watching and collecting numerous football videos to the point of obsession. He edits and analyzes each video for each individual player. He also utilizes statistical software and other technological tools to prepare for games. John Carlin, an English journalist, has stated that Bielsa has "the most learned football library on the planet."

Former Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente said in an interview, "At first he seems tough and he may even annoy you with his persistence and don't-take-no-for-an-answer resilience, but in the end he is a genius."

Current Bayern Munich and former Barcelona manager Josep Guardiola called him the "best manager in the world" in 2012.

As Bielsa refuses to grant exclusive interviews, the press conference has become his preferred method of communication. He has been known to field every last question from the assembled media during these gatherings. If the talk turns to the intricacies of the game, a three- or even four-hour press conference is possible. According to him: "Every media should get the same attention from me, from the biggest TV station to the smallest newspaper".

Has he won anything of note ?

So he's above sparky on the list?! That's a weight off my mind :)
