Why do we need a manager before July?

Please explain.

Normally I'd say to get players in early, but can't see many significant movement from most clubs until after the Euros.

Even so, it'd probably be best for the new manager to get in as early as possible to sort out his backroom staff, identify targets, take alook at the youth team etc...

Not that it matters anyway. I'd be incredibly surprised if we didn't have a new manager by mid-June.

But theres really no rush, Euros coming up, the final is July 10th? Unless we get Moyes in and go buying up Championship players and the stars of the SPL.

My worry is that the club are too invested in one party.

Chase mourhino until he goes elsewhere and koeman signs new contract, De Boer goes elsewhere and we are in trouble.

I think you're worrying for no real reason mate and it's based on nothing but conjecture / rumours at this point.

I'm sure we have plenty of irons in the fire, so to speak. The season isn't even finished yet

When do people think we will announce a manager ? We wouldn't be the most oatuent of people / fans well I'm certainly not ... Anyone else considered it might be someone outside of the top 3 names that is being mentioned on here ?

Copa America is every 4 years and the last one was held in 2015. However, to celebrate 100 years since the comp started they're hosting the next one this summer and including central and north america as well. The one after this will be in 2019, then they'll resume doing it every 4 years.
