I think it’s more the fact of they are the only ones who we could realistically get. Our last 4 managers are no better than Howe or Moyes.
How Silva got the job in the first place is the scary thing, Howe was much better qualified but unfortunately he didn’t have a cool enough name.

I have no idea of any decent managers willing to come here, Mourinho shouts show just how deluded people are.

Id rather be deluded than negative and defeatist lollol

The stupidity of this thread makes me sick in the mouth.
As we all have no frigging clue really and even less actual say in the matter.
Maybe we should change it to "what celebrity would be a good manager for us?"
I am going for Samuel L. Jackson - would do great half time talks and be great in the dugout , esp. with the eye patch!

We have no say about any match but we have a match thread any week.

This makes me so mad. How can our fan base POSSIBLY want the likes of Eddie Howe, Dyche, Arteta or, god forbid, Moyes back. Its absolute madness to even contemplate those and some of the others mentioned. Its like we are all stuck in this "happy to be best of the rest' ridiculousness. Screw that - other than Liverpool and City - the rest of the Premier League is at its worst since its inception. We need a proven, ruthless manager, someone with pedigree, someone who knows how to win a trophy and NOT fight relegation - fighting relegation successfully or managing a mid table team seem to be both on the Everton Managers position description. Incredible.

THANK YOU (CLAPS)

Great point, let's close the forum.

Obviously performances and results so far this season are a major cause for concern and the buck will land at the manager's door but my greatest concern with Silva stems from the touchline comparison between him and Klopp...the Anfield manager from the touchline epitomises a., that is lacking in Silva and it is obvious Klopp carries that energy into his coaching..How else could he have made a crap midfielder like Henderson look like a 60/70million player Silva does not appear to have that sort of drive or ability.

If he struggles over the line against Wednesday, we are into the last 16 and presumably the stay of execution applies.

If, thereafter, we continue with this erratic form and a worryingly low average point per PL game return and he is not fired then what do people thing of a relegation scrap? Am really curious to hear others thoughts? To me and on current form there is a 70/30 chance we will be pulled into just that. And IMO, neither the players nor the dugout have shown any signs of the heart that would be needed in such a battle.

How likely do we think an R word battle is if the present regime is retained?

All's I can say is I don't see us getting owt from the next two games and that might very well see us in the drop zone going into the next international break.

If that happens then I will regard us as being in a relegation battle.

A long, hard season in prospect IMO

On the left next manager to be sacked................On the right our next manager.

I could see Moshiri going for Howe.
EvErToNiAn
A stable PL manager.
Worked on a low budget.
sometimes play decent ball.

I'm not advocating for him either just looking from Moshiri's PoV.
