Might not have a choice after these December fixtures mate!

The cup quarter final is the only game im actually confident in us winning (I think the fans will see us over the line/ Leicester will rotate) - we could very well be in and around the bottom 3 half way through the season come New Year which is massively poor.

Ok, we aren’t getting moyes, and we’re keeping silva mate ( till seasons end ) I presume so except it

It’s impossible to judge Arteta from an assistant role, by that logic Brian Kidd or Mike Phelan were world class management material.

We know nothing of his managerial abilities.

He should serve his time in a lower league management role before before getting a look in at this level.
Colin Harvey served under our greatest manager and was a top, top coach, but look what happened to him?

That's just silly, work in the lower leagues why?He has worked with the best manager in the world and one of the top teams in Europe. So why would managing Barnsley be of benefit to him.

How some people want Silva gone and replacing with Arteta of all people is really really baffling.
The only reasoning I can see behind it is Silva isnt the man to break the top 4/6,at least I dont think he is,so there is a chance he will be replaced sooner rather than later,we are kind of limited on who we can attract,Howe,Wilder,Dyche,Moyes arent going to make a real difference so Arteta looks to be the more attractive name,is he worth the risk? We dont know, maybe he has learnt a lot, maybe he just sticks cones out,but the next choice has to be the right one and some people see him as the answer due to being an ex player

Regardless of who he has worked with he still hasn’t actually managed a Professional football club.
He hasn’t even managed a junior side.
Everton Football Club should never be a ‘try out piece’ for apprentice football managers.

Exactly this. Before I retired, I believe I was an excellent assistant to my boss, and looked after all kinds of areas better than he did. Despite the fact that I was as good or better than the boss in 75% of what we did, he was a better top banana than I ever could have been.

Arteta might be a great manager. Or he might not be. The skills of being an assistant aren't the same as being THE manager, and there is many a good football team assistant manager who goes on to demonstrate he can't handle the top job. Big risk.
