The club should just do a poll for fans to vote, next manager needs to be one most fans want/like. Silva was fighting a losing battle from the beginning I feel

What about Ranieri?
I'd rather him than most on this poll. Is a proven winner, has managed big ego's at the likes of Chelsea, and turned Leicester into champions. Leicester!
Any decent reasons why not?
For a proven winner he has 3 trophies* and has been managing since 1986!! That's pretty much the reason why not. Because aside from the Leicester miracle he's the most bang average of bang average. And the fact that he's 68 makes it unlikely we are getting more than a year or two so we are right back to square one then.

*Top flight trophies. He's won Serie C and Ligue 2. I'm not counting that.

Leicester wasn't a miracle. He built a bloody good side that played better football than anyone else that season. He may have been managing since 86, but this was 2 years ago, in our league, and the legacy of which still has them 2nd in the league this year. I'd take a year or two of that, because in that time we've had Koeman, Allardyce, and Silva while spending bucket fulls of cash.

First off 4 years ago. Secondly he took over right at the start of the season they won the title so less building and more coming and getting the most out of what was there. But that's all pointless anyway because that season is clearly the outlier in his career. There's very little reason to expect that he would do that here. Or really anything positive. Have you seen what he's been up to since Leicester?

Still think we have a lot to offer a good manager there is a good squad there (yes 3/4 need to go) the problem right now is we are nearly half way through the season, many of these names we wont be able to get now but may get in the summer. Therefore, do we take the best we can get now for a long contract or get the best of the rest on a short term contract to the summer then go all out for who we want, who can then have the summer transfer market to get in who he wants. The answer to that question would determine who we go for.

Clearly the ones in charge of this club are absolutely clueless when it comes to picking managers.

It will be down to Brands to save the club - let’s hope he has the final say.

Extinction or a future for the club !
