I’m confused as to who I’m allowed to hope we get in.

If I say Pochettino or another manager with some degree of quality, it’s “shurrup he’ll never come here lad”.

If I say Moyes till the end of the season it’s “shurrup lad he’s a step backwards”.

If I say Arteta it’s “shurrup fella he’s got no experience, it’s just sentiment innit lad”.

If I say Eddie Howe, who has experience, (please God no) it’s “ shurrup lad he’s never done anything”.

And if we say stick with Silva, that’s madness clearly.

So if someone could get back to me on who I’m allowed to hope for that’d be ace. Cheers.

That’s pretty much every scenario mate, and it’s true, I’m worried about who it is please god don’t let it be BK and moshiri going off previous

Honestly, whoever it is needs to be given a contract until the summer unless it is a TOP manager. They need to figure out what the hell they want out of this club and to appoint someone for 3 years who is lackluster just as Silva was, we're back in the same boat.

It's almost like different people have different opinions or there isn't a silver bullet or something.

Rather a lack of people willing to accept that others have a different view.
There IS a rational argument against each of those choices tho. I'm sure it's not meant as a slander against whomever says as such but Howe failed miserably when he attempted a step up, Arteta doesn't have any experience, Benitez spoke down to our club, Moyes WAS a great option but who knows if it would be a good choice, Poch really probably wouldn't come here especially with his severance package being down to months out of the game.

That's not to say that any of them would be a poor choice, just that there is a RATIONAL argument against each of them.

There are definitely options out there which is why I dont get why the board are sitting on their hands / seemingly championing Moyes.

Marcelino
Kovac
Allegri

All 3 out of work (yes Poch is but I doubt that is happening).

You then have

Benitez
Biesla

One in China who will come at the drop at the hat and the other in the championship who again would come at the drop of a hat

Then the likes of

Ten Hag
AVB
Rose

Currently in jobs in lesser leagues/earning less money that we could atleast potentially try and talk to.

Seems to be the board haven't a clue of what goes on outside of the Premier League hence our last 4 appointments have been PL Managers.
IF we can tempt that Ajax manager then he's got to be the one I think. Although I've always liked AVB too but that may be because he's insanely handsome.

Thing is, I would bet all of them would do a better job than Silva. In fact it would be more difficult to find a manager that could actually do worse.

Tough one that.

I really dont have an answer , but feel it needs to be done ASAP as West Ham & Arsenal will be looking at the same pool of available managers.

I've never liked him as a man but honestly I'd take Rafael now. He is about the best we can attract would organise the team and command respect for his record. Other names might be a risk and Moyes strikes me as a panic appointment unless it's just interim.
