Feel like Marcelino might be the best shout as he's proven he can turn things around. Had a stunning defensive record with Valencia at one point where they were about 16/17 games unbeaten.

However, it never seems to end all that well for him at clubs after a year or two – sacking over differences with the board, tailspins with the club sitting perilously close to the bottom three.

Sod knows though. I don't got paid to make the decisions. If I did, it'd have been Jose before Spurs had a sniff.

There are definitely options out there which is why I dont get why the board are sitting on their hands / seemingly championing Moyes.

Marcelino
Kovac
Allegri

All 3 out of work (yes Poch is but I doubt that is happening).

You then have

Benitez
Biesla

One in China who will come at the drop at the hat and the other in the championship who again would come at the drop of a hat

Then the likes of

Ten Hag
AVB
Rose

Currently in jobs in lesser leagues/earning less money that we could atleast potentially try and talk to.

Seems to be the board haven't a clue of what goes on outside of the Premier League hence our last 4 appointments have been PL Managers.

I haven’t a clue who Marcelino, Kovac or Allergy are, but if they’ve got good track records, then I hope we’ve at least looked at them & sounded them out (if we’re interested).

I would take Benitez tomorrow. He has a proven record in this league (& in world football), he’s already settled in the area & I reckon he’d have a real incentive to put us above that lot (see City/United. It’s not impossible). Benitez would be a no brainier for me.

Not even Everton would be stupid enough to dig Mark Hughes up. That’s pure click bait for anyone dumb enough to gift the bookies money.
I’d say the same of Moyes, but I would love Moshiri to come out & make it clear that he will never be considered while he’s at the helm.

We would go for Benitez if Kenwrong wasnt around.

No doubt he'll be in Mosh's ear spouting stereotypical "dont appoint him Farhad the fans will never get behind him go for that Moyes fella he's the peoples champ"

Some stuff down here that Benitez has told West Ham he wants £14m a year to manage them, that's crazy money, Klopp is only on £9m, Benitez is not worth £14m a year imo, bloody Steve Bruce is getting a better tune out of the barcodes at the moment than he did. Ten Hag has turned down Bayern so i doubt he would come to us tbh, and we could have had Rose but instead chose Silva. Find it slightly odd we don't move for someone like Marcelino, who has expressed an interest in managing in the PL and is out of work at the moment.
I actually like the idea of Bielsa, i doubt we would win any trophies under him, but if there is one guy who could take this squad of randoms and work them into a formation that manages to get results it's Bielsa. He also would not put up with some of the players who seemingly stroll through games.

I never thought Everton Football Club would ever stoop so low to appoint Sam Allardyce. To follow that up within two years to employing Mark Hughes will twist my head. Surely a DoF won't go down that route, there must be planning for this eventuality. This isn't Moshiri picking the manager it's Marcel Brands this time. He must have a list of candidates, not the same merry-go-round of cat's piss that end up sacked at every club they're at.

You hear lots of rumours mate you dont know whats truth and whats hear say - I doubt Benitez would command that much if he was serious about a return from China as simply no club in world football would pay it.

Biesla is exactly the sort of personality we need at the club - he's not my first choice but I would have him everyday over Moyes/Howe/Arteta.

He wanted £12.5m to stay on at Newcastle, hence why they let him go.

I think alot of that was political with Ashley - he knew ashley wouldn't pay it and imo didnt want to stick around but also didnt want to be the bad guy leaving so he made daft demands knowing full well Ashley would tell him to GTF - therefore Ashley is the bad guy and Rafael the saint in the eyes of the media and Geordie Nation.

I’m confused as to who I’m allowed to hope we get in.

If I say Pochettino or another manager with some degree of quality, it’s “shurrup he’ll never come here lad”.

If I say Moyes till the end of the season it’s “shurrup lad he’s a step backwards”.

If I say Arteta it’s “shurrup fella he’s got no experience, it’s just sentiment innit lad”.

If I say Eddie Howe, who has experience, (please God no) it’s “ shurrup lad he’s never done anything”.

And if we say stick with Silva, that’s madness clearly.

So if someone could get back to me on who I’m allowed to hope for that’d be ace. Cheers.
