I’m not as enamoured with Eddie Howe as some pundits seem to be I’d 100% back him to be getting a better tune out of our players than Silva’s managing. Also a lot less embarrassing than bringing in Moyes or Hughes so at this point I’d take it. Ideally we show a bit of ambition and bring in someone who’s proven himself a bit more more an like Allegri, Pochettino or even Kovac but I just massively doubt our board are that ambitious.
Howe has already bombed last time he ventured north. He'll stand a chance if Emery is sacked at Arsenal, who btw looked worse than us on Saturday against Southampton.

Pretty convinced Howe would turn us down.

If he did it would say more about him than it does us really. He can't seriously want to stay at such a tiny club where he'll challenge for nothing all his career? He needs to make the step up at some point, just I always felt West Ham or Newcastle were more likely.

Perhaps we need someone like Marcelo Bielsa. He has pedigree, integrity and tactical flexibility. I think our personnel would fit in with the 3-3-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 that he uses which would allow us to get numerical advantage and overloads to break down teams. However, having said that, even possession and chances won’t necessarily solve our striker problem so we may need more than Tosun or DCL up front

Swap "medium" for "tiny" & the rest applies to us.

The statement will be: "We are proud to announce we have back in the Everton family a man who led the club to top 4 and an FA Cup final. David is back to complete the job he started".

Everton is turning into a joke club.

you missed out the first bit that says “We have worked tirelessly examining all of the top managers that would fit in with our ethos and have finally convinced a truly internationally experienced manager to join us....we are proud..etc etc”

I'd love to see Bfrands write that, just ti underline what I've known for ages: he's a fraud.

We've got a new stadium on the way, the club will take off in the years after that. The club's overall state of health is good, it's important to remember that. Things just can't seem to go right on the pitch in the meantime but as frustrating as that is it's not end of the world. We're far better off now than we were a decade ago finishing 5th but having to beg the banks not to foreclose on us.

It will come together at some point, just hopefully whilst we're all alive lol.
