Trouble is that it is going to be just a knee jerk reaction appointment! No planning, thought etc. The board are the problem at Everton.

December fixtures will have a massive impact here. It is a hell of a run and we could be looking at 6 defeats and out of the cup.

Who, if they came in, would make a positive impact during this run?
The other absolute essentials I would need in a manager:
- are they a winner, have they won things and will they bring a winning mentality to a gang of loser that we have
- do they play attractive football but are also tactically astute to change things away from home and against the bigger teams
- What is their opinion on Schneiderlin, Walcott and DCL? If the answer isn't "sell in January" then I dont wanna know.
- Will they play 4-2-3-1 for every game, regardless of ANY OTHER FACTOR or VARIABLE?
- Who could we actually get right now

Pains me to say it, it's Rafael for me!

Following that line, I thought it was an 'up' to Koeman, but how wrong was I. And....certainly down since then. Losing the will here. This club needs to make a 'statement' appointment. Just don't see it though.

Mourinho was literally available and scratching his arse for 10 months waiting for a premier league job, but we stuck with silva because we had a small run of form last season and got some points against bigger sides that totally masked the fact it was an unacceptable season anyway.

We then let time tick by during the October break and then because Silva won a rare game before the last break inexplicably decided he should continue and let the last chance of Jose slip by.

I'm not saying he would have come. But we didn't even ask.

Moshiri and the entire board are negligent for this. They need to be removed by force. Moshiri in particular is a disease that's taken hold and has infected the rest of the club. He needs cutting out at source.

I dont want him but Howe would make sense from the boards perspective.

Attacking style of football

Young

PL experienced

Boyhood Blue therefore you would imagine Bournemouth would not stand in his way from leaving like Watford were.

It won't be Howe. He wasn't even on the radar even though he had more pedigree when we went for Silva at Watford.

Howe will always be knocking around and still young.

We've done the up and comers, the left field chancers, and the not so glamorous managers...let's get a name in.

If Leicester could get Ranieri and Rodgers while we went through Martinez, Koeman, and Silva...why can't we bring in an experienced manager.

I don't agree with the last sentence, but the rest is spot on.

Moshiri is, however, totally and completely incompetent. The hope was the DoF model would shield that incompetence but when he's unable to pull the trigger and get rid of an obviously failed manager, then it doesn't matter what the DoF does.

I’m not as enamoured with Eddie Howe as some pundits seem to be I’d 100% back him to be getting a better tune out of our players than Silva’s managing. Also a lot less embarrassing than bringing in Moyes or Hughes so at this point I’d take it. Ideally we show a bit of ambition and bring in someone who’s proven himself a bit more more an like Allegri, Pochettino or even Kovac but I just massively doubt our board are that ambitious.

I ticked Moyes, even though my Mouse put up heavy resistance.

I think I'm a little tired of the Lucky Dip of Managers we've been going through. Moyes is not the long term answer I would want but, Geezuzz, just a little stability for a few Months would suit me fine.

Agree on Mourinho (missed opportunity and apparent lack of will or means to try). That is a concern. We're supposed to be ambitious and progressive. Or at least I was led to believe that.
As for Moshiri. I'm starting to wonder. If the stadium get delivered then he'll have met my 'mimimum' hope and expectation from him when he took over. But now, the next managerial appointment will tell me even more.

The statement will be: "We are proud to announce we have back in the Everton family a man who led the club to top 4 and an FA Cup final. David is back to complete the job he started".

Everton is turning into a joke club.
