spent £180m over 3 years in the prem and got worse each season

Edit: net spend of just shy of £90m

what a template to follow
They have spent money. Compared to the likes of Watford, Palace and Newcastle, they've spent circa £60m more - which isn't that much across 5 years. But it's the same argument we have with the teams above us - they started from a stronger position than Bournemouth did. £90m across 3 years to go from the team they had to the one they have is very good going. He's spent it wisely.

3 years ago, he had the likes of Harry Arter, Benik Afobe, Marc Pugh, Matt Ritchie and Andrew Surman starting regularly.

October 2011 - Took over Bournemouth who'd just finished 11th in League One
May 2012 - Got promoted into the Championship at the 1st time of asking.
May 2013 - Achieved a respectable 10th in the Championship in their 1st season
May 2014 - Won the Championship and got promotion to the Premier League
May 2015 - Finished 16th in their 1st season in the Premier League, comfortably clear of relegation.

Since then, they've finished 9th, 12th and 14th respectively. Comfortably mid-table, a solid Premier League side that is in no danger whatsoever of going down.

They have arguably the youngest playing squad in the league and play a style of Football that has it's risks but they are great to watch. Have a look at Harry Wilson's goal vs Newcastle and look at the movement they have, entirely down to the training ground that one.

If they sold Ake, Wilson, Cook, Brooks and Fraser, they'd clear £160m easy. The likes of Billing, Mepham, Kelly and Stacey have looked decent and their values will inevitably rise even more over the next few years.

It's mental people are questioning it, the guy is top class AND he's an Everton fan. If you look at my posts i've been saying it since 2016 on here.
