Of the names in the media, Moyes, Hughes, they are not good enough to get us up in the short term or longer. Not many on the list above are either. Moshiri would be making a grave mistake if he went for Mpyes or Hughes not even sure about Howe.

The annoying part of this for me is Silva is kept while Moshiri is thinking about a replacement. Should get shut now and give Unsworth a brief go until the post is sorted.

It's difficult really, because of all of the 'candidates' that have been touted none of them are especially exciting in any way.

I've long said that our most important 'signing' in the Moshiri/Brands era has to be the manager and unless that happens we'll just continue to go around in circles.

Let's sack Silva after the defeat at Leicester, and then get soft lad Howe in to do his annual roll over job at the pit.....no thanks Eddie...stay on the beach and revel in your mid table ambition.
Don’t want Howe and it’s true his record against Liverpool is bad.

But it’s not like having Bournemouth mid-table in the premier league shows a lack ambition.

If he had a lack of ambition he’d still be managing them in league 1. Still got a load of lower league players there as well.

He’s actually don incredibly at Bournemouth.

They've been in the league 4 years, won twice at Stamford Bridge and taken points at Anfield and Old Trafford

They've also beaten United, Chelsea, Spurs, Liverpool and Arsenal at home and taken draws off Spurs and Arsenal.

For a newly promoted side - it's not a terrible record. As far as I can see, the only side they 'roll over' against is City and, to be fair, who hasn't?

Someone like Guidolin would do a better job of organising the team than Benitez or Moyes. His Swansea side had the most well-drilled defence I've ever seen at Goodison, and they got what they deserved for pushing him out the door because their new American owners were mates with Bob Bradley.

If you're going to do defensive football, do it proper catenaccio style, chain-smoking manager and all.
