wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what the wait is gonna be for

I think this myself (but with Kenwrong around its still unlikely) - however is it possible for us to even do this? Would we need to buy out his contract there or is it just a case of compensation agreement between the clubs?

I'm not sure about compensation. As far as I'm aware when he signed the 18 month deal, he had a clause put in which meant he could talk to Premier league and la liga sides at the end of the season.

I hope so - for me he's the best of a realistic bunch (although I think Brands will want a more tippy tappy type appointment).

He played for us under Moyes + has been in Spain, France, Scotland and England...we dont know what style he would play, whether he would be a motivator or a tactical genius.

Its a roll of the dice. Hes not Benitez or Moyes so he gets a gold star for that.

I prefer results over style so that's why I wouldn't be so against Rafael.

I don't go home happy from a rare trip to Goodison when we've done a few tricks but been beaten 3-0.

His only experience is as number two to Pep though so you would have thought he would try for a similar style which really wouldn't suit this lot at the moment. Surely he should go and manage a championship team or a mid Spanish club first to gain experience as a number one.. Seems a bit of a hipster choice tbf
