I am detecting the excited stirrings of GOT’s ‘team Vitor-ians’. I’m imagining many are secretly wearing an armband in anticipation of Vitor’s appointment. Sadly, I suspect their excited stirrings might be premature and it will probably be the closet supporters of Malky and Neil who end up proudly wearing weird items of clothing...
...after all, Farhad has previous when it comes to left-field managerial appointments...

I find it hard to believe that Everton could possibly contemplate Benitez as manager. He literally belittled the club in the past with his comments. If he came to the club and things started going badly the atmosphere would be so much worse than on Saturday because fans would believe that at heart he is a RS (which he almost certainly is). It would be the biggest risk in the club's history to bring him in as should there be any hint of failure by him it can only guarantee extreme anger and bitterness towards the club from the fans. If the atmosphere became so bad that the team morale was severely damaged we could easily be relegated.

I think you can relax because I don't think they're considering Benitez. First there's the cost as in the wedge they'd have to pay the Chinese club he's at and then the wedge theyd have to pay him, so this on top of the money laid out on sacking tans hiring the last 3 fellas and the next one to go...

Then there's the negative response from so many blues like yourself, which they would already be trying to do something about if they were planning an approach. Think about it, if they were seriously considering making him an offer they'd be having his name mentioned in friendly papers so they could gauge reaction from the fans. The only name I've seen linked in recent days is Eddie Howe and David moves, which makes me think theyre the two most likely candidates.

At a time where the likes of Favre, Ancelotti and Jesus could be available in the coming weeks, and when looking at our next few fixtures, we may as well stick with Silva until we can replace him with one of those options.
