No idea mate, my main man Rudi Garcia has been snapped up and even him I wasnt totally convinced by.

I have nobody else really on my to-do list.

The options, midseason, are all bad, very, very bad.

We aint gonna convince Jose, Allegri or that ilk, we aint even gonna convince the Ajax fella, we sit in 16th, if Silva has been sacked we sit below 16th, im at a loss to think of any manager leaving a decent side to take up that mantle.

We are staring down the barrel of a Moyes or Hughes sadly.

Our only hope is this current clown does enough to stay till May and then our options open up so much more.
The thing is.

If we keep going for a Moyes / allardyce type manager , that's pretty much us as a club. No ambition and mid table obscurity.

Which is fine if that's the aim, I mean I want better but also don't think we should be challenging the top teams. Certainly not for the money spent but then that's another story.

I just think where we should be as a club in the way of thinking and who we probably go back to every time we sack a manager, poles apart. Eventually one side of the coin sticks, Southampton being a good example.

We may not attract a top name now in current circumstances at this point in the season. But then the kopites got klopp in october. Marcelino is unemployed so rather a similar scenario.

That is, if we are looking beyond a local / uninspiring choice again.

Moyes until the end of the season makes sense from a lot of angles whether its true or not.

Cant see it - Alladyce would have never been appointed imo had Brands been around as he was a Walsh/Moshiri man.

Brands will convince Moshiri to go for a long term appointment not another interim that could mess around with his squad building imo.

The problem is we are currently 17th, If we hire someone say Marcelino for example and it goes extremely pear shaped it will set this club years and years back, If someone say Moyes came in he would work with what he's got no transfers in Jan apart from a CB on loan maybe, His task is getting us high up the table and possible, Brands and co have time to plan and look and who they want as the future manager in the summer and we wave bye to Moyes on the final day of the season.
Leicester are different they were in the top half of the table when Puel got sacked iirc so Rodgers had some breathing room, To try and appoint a manager that the fans and the board to lead us for many years to come at this stage of the season is such a risk.

This is what I've been saying, everyone calling for a whatever mid-season replacement - let's face, no superstar manager is coming here as a few others have noted - is seriously not considering the chance that this new guy won't do any better. I don't know how one can assume that just making a change will improve things. That's change for change's sake, and it's usually the mark of a failing business. May as well throw darts after a dozen pints.

Marcelino García Toral, who was surprisingly sacked by Valencia on Wednesday, claims not putting the Copa del Rey to one side - despite winning the competition - is what caused his relationship with Peter Lim to break down.

"I'm absolutely sure, I don't have any doubts, that the cause of this situation was the Copa. During the season we received messages, direct and indirect, telling us to ignore the competition," confessed Marcelino in a press conference.

"The supporters wanted to fight for it, as did the footballers, and they went on to do that. The coaching staff wanted to fight and win the Copa. Winning the trophy was the cause of this entire situation, who would imagine that?"

Blimey

Getting sacked for wanting to win tings.
